1. Overview

Personal Playlist Migrator is a private, non-commercial command-line application created and operated by an individual developer for the sole purpose of migrating playlist data between Google/YouTube accounts owned and controlled by the same individual.

The application is not offered as a public service and is not intended for use by third parties.

2. Google and YouTube API Services

Personal Playlist Migrator uses the YouTube Data API and Google OAuth 2.0. Use of information received from Google APIs is subject to the Google API Services User Data Policy and applicable YouTube API Services policies.

3. Data Accessed

  • YouTube channel ID and channel name;
  • playlist IDs and playlist metadata;
  • playlist item information;
  • video IDs;
  • the authenticated user's Liked Videos playlist;
  • information necessary to create ordinary playlists in the destination account.

The source account is accessed using a read-only YouTube OAuth scope. The destination account is accessed using a YouTube OAuth scope that permits playlist creation and modification.

4. Purpose of Data Use

  1. identify playlist items belonging to the source account;
  2. create a local migration plan;
  3. create corresponding playlists in the destination account; and
  4. add the source video IDs to those destination playlists.

The data is not used for advertising, profiling, analytics, resale, or any unrelated purpose.

5. Data Storage

Personal Playlist Migrator has no remote server or hosted database.

OAuth credentials, migration state, playlist snapshots, video IDs, and related migration data are stored only as local files on the operator's own computer.

No YouTube API data is intentionally transmitted to the developer, another server, advertisers, data brokers, or other third parties.

6. Data Sharing

The application does not sell, rent, transfer, or disclose Google or YouTube user data to third parties.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

Local data is retained only for the period necessary to complete and verify the migration.

After the migration is completed, locally stored OAuth tokens and API-derived migration files will be deleted when they are no longer required.

If authorization to the application is revoked, locally stored OAuth credentials and API-derived user data will be deleted as soon as practicable and no later than 30 calendar days after revocation.

Because the application operates exclusively on the operator's own computer and has no remote storage, no server-side copy of the data exists.

8. Revoking Access

Google Account access granted to Personal Playlist Migrator can be revoked through the user's Google Account security settings. After revocation, locally stored OAuth token files and migration data can also be removed from the local computer.

9. Security

Source-account and destination-account OAuth credentials are stored separately. The source account is authenticated using a read-only YouTube scope. Write access is used only for the destination account in order to create playlists and playlist items.

OAuth client secrets and access tokens are not intentionally published or shared.

10. Commercial Use

Personal Playlist Migrator is a personal, non-commercial utility. It contains no advertising, subscriptions, paid features, or other monetization.
